Guardian of Trek
In the last season of Discovery, we were treated to a wonderful call-back to one of the greatest episodes of the Original Series. In this case, they put a human visage to the Guardian so it could interact better with the Discovery characters.
Much easier to speak with Carl than a talking rock, I think.
