July’s first paycheck

Like most people, we get whatever monies the powers that be feel we’re worth on or near the first of the month. Then we stare in disbelief at the lack of zeros staring back at us from the screen. Then reality hits as we realize we were never millionaires to begin with, it’s not like a few zeroes were stolen when they weren’t there to begin with.
