Recently I had a HP Laserjet 2015d Printer that had a paper jam error regardless of what was tried to fix it. I did a lot of looking up information and found that the issue is common and usually requires the replacement of the formatter board. The board has a high failure rate. With a lot of reading I found a common method that a lot of people have done to fix the board and make everything work again. The method of repair is actually quite simple and I have tried this method and it worked so far.

The simple fix for the issue is to bake the board in the oven.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place a sheet of aluminum foil on metal baking sheet.
make 4 small aluminum balls to lift the board up off the baking sheet. place the foil balls at where the screw holes are. make sure they are just big enough to keep the board from touching the foil and baking sheet below. The memory slot and such should be placed face up with all the major components on top of the board. You may want to remove the protective film from the memory slot carefully then replace after board has cooled.
Place in oven for 6 minutes.
Let cool 10 minutes.
Reinstall board into printer.
Before closing up case plugin printer and test fix. if everything is good it should be ready to print. Print a test page to be sure then unplug the printer and snap the cover back on.
How does this fix work? it is quite simple. The solder connections on the board end up loosing connection. by heating up the board the solder softens and makes connection on those sections that have become disconnected. This fix may not work or may not work for long depending on the actual issue but if all else fails this easy fix may get the printer back up and working with just a little work.
