Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup maraschino cherries (drained and chopped)
  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

    Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract, beating until smooth.

    Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.

    Add Chocolate and Cherries: Fold in chocolate chips and maraschino cherries.

    Bake the Cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden.

    Cool and Serve: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy
