Maraschino Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup maraschino cherries drained and chopped
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract, beating until smooth.Combine Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.Add Chocolate and Cherries: Fold in chocolate chips and maraschino cherries.Bake the Cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing each cookie about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden.Cool and Serve: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy
