Around 2001, they decided to launch a prequel show that goes before Kirk, before Pike even. They only got to have four seasons, and like just about every other Star Trek series their first season was rocky and just getting them off the ground. Expect some Porthos and water polo memes coming soon.

Honestly, who hasn’t thought of this before? They even had Dean Maxwell in an episode. Folks are hoping that an intended reboot of Quantum Leap will not only have Scott in it but might reference his time as the skipper of the NX-01.
