It had the unique distinction of being the only opening credit song in Star Trek that wasn’t classically composed and instead had a rock beat to it. For the subject matter of the show, it made perfect sense. Why is it here? Because it’s the only theme song to have become a meme….everywhere. Almost as bad as being Rick-rolled.
